England's Saviour
With the Euro's fast approaching and with England not yet appointing Fabio Cappello's successor after the buffoons in charge of national team let him down badly not supporting his decision not to punish captain at the time John Terry until he was proven guilty, which incidentally he's still not been proved guilty in the racism row with Anton Ferdinand.
Whether you're a traditionalist who thinks the national side should only have an English manager or a modern fan who believes the manager's nationality doesn't matter as long as they bring an end to the hurt I will put forward my candidates and the reason behind why I think they are candidates.
We start off wiv the tabloids favourite, the man who had a rollercoaster ride of a few days, he was acquitted for tax evasion and a day later become the favourite for the England job. I give you Harry Redknapp, now I don't think he is the favourite my reasons are simple yes he's guided spurs to the top half of the table but seriously he's only won minor honours as a manger so surely England need a more successful manager.
If we are judging the next manager on being English then surely Alan Pardew is a candidate considering he's taken Newcastle to the top half of
the prem too, he has also had minor success as a manager but Pardew has reached an FA cup final when he was manager of West Ham so surely this should make him joint favourite so far.
What about the current caretaker manager Stuart Perace, there is no doubting his passion for the national team which was so perfectly expressed
when he scored in the shoot out victory over Spain in Euro 96 but as a manager he was sacked as man city manager, he is currently U21 manager and is due to manage the British Olympic team in the London Games so surely SP is too busy to take the senior team job.
Next candidate I give you the special one Jose Mourinho, now it is highly unlikely he will leave Real Madrid especially as I believe he wants to
win the champions league and with Madrid currently in pole position in la liga I just can't see the special one wanting the pressure of England manager.
Another man who is a candidate is the man England seems constantly linked with in recent times Mr Guus Hindink but again I think this
is just rumour as he is currently manager of Russian mega rich side Anzhi Makhachkala.
I have ruled out Alex Ferguson, Martin O'Neil, Arsene Wenger as they have all stated at some point they would never manage England.
So there is my list of candidates but am sure a shock outsider will come forward, one thing is for sure we should know Cappello's successor soon and hopefully England will win some much needed trophies.
