Sea Sick By Iain Rob Wright
Murder in the Mediterranean
Sea sick by Iain Rob Wright gives an Interesting twist in the whole horror genre, this is part of a 3 book series but I unfortunately read "Sea sick" after his other two books in the series "Ravage" & "Savage" but that didn't ruin the story as it still made sense and fitted in as part of the whole series. My only criticism is that I didn't think this book flowed as well as the others but that's just my view and it's probably down to the fact that I read the others first.
Jack's is an copper who has been sent on a trip on a holiday to try and put a harrowing incident behind him by his superiors before he and his life spiral out of control, he’s sent on the cruise ship The Spirit of Kirkpatrick and the trip is meant to be a relaxing one, a chance for him to take time out from his job and feel human again but the trip is anything but relaxing as Jack discovers a horrible nightmare aboard the ship one which he struggles to comprehend at first but when he does he discovers that maybe his nightmare is just beginning over and over again, he also discovers that not everyone he meets on the ship can be trusted. I have said this before Rob Wright is an excellent horror author whose imagination knows no limits. Overall this is still a brilliant book and one I’d recommend if your fan of zombie / biohazard genre. The story sets its self nice for the other books so if you plan on reading the series follow them in chronological order Sea sick, Ravage then finally Savage. You can check out my reviews of the other books on this site (somewhere). |
