Taken 3 see's Liam Nesson return in hopefully what will the final instalment of the brilliant action packed Taken series, Nesson returns as ex CIA operative Bryan Mills but instead of trying to rescue one of his close family members this time Mill's is a wanted man by the cops after being framed for murder.
Taken 3 is produced and written by Luc Besson and as mentioned before stars Nesson with Famke Janssen, Maggie Grace also returning and see's Forrest Whitaker and Dougray Scott join the series. Taken 3 is again directed by Oliver Megaton who also worked with Besson on Taken 2.
Mill's trying to keep his relationship with his daughter Kim as normal as possible without really realising that she's no longer still little, In fact Kim is growing up faster than Mill's would like and in addition his ex wife is in need of shoulder to cry on as her marriage to Stuart is going through a difficult patch In fact Lenore is falling for Bryan again but with Mill's unwilling to take things further with Lenore as he feels it will only make things worse for her. Bryan is about to start an assignment with work away home for a month he gives Lenore a spare key that will allow his ex wife to use his apartment while he's away but one morning before he leaves he receives a text of his ex wife to meet him at the flat but when he arrives he discovers his ex wife's body, no sooner as he discovers the body the Police turn up and Mill's is forced to go in the run to try and buy himself enough time to prove his innocence.
Taken 3 is a action packed thriller very much in the same vain as the previous 2 movies but I did feel when watching this one that it could quite easily be a standalone film as I just didn’t feel that number 3 was as well thought out and unique as the other movies. Nesson and Janssen are again brilliant as the father daughter combination, it’s also worth mentioning Whitaker who is brilliant as the perusing inspector Franck Dotzler. Overall Taken 3 makes a decent addition to the franchise and puts and end to what has been a innovative series the likes of which Nesson will always be remembered for that famous speech “I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you're looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money... but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that will be the end of it - I will not look for you, I will not pursue you... but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you... and I will kill you"
