SAVAGE PAYBACK By Seamus Gallagher
A series of explosions rocks new bond street in London's
jewellery district in a coordinated attack that leave scores of people dead and
millions of pounds stolen in jewels, Amongst the shops attacked was three of
ISP's clients one of which Gemtec a company who ISP have already built up a
good relationship with Deryk Ostman the owner after ISP had been recruited to
help Gemtec out a few years earlier when there offices in Amsterdam and Hong
where targeted by Kong Kong's triad gang.
Tensions were also running high with the insurance companies who are desperate to see their clients merchandise recovered ASAP as the losses are rising all the time. It isn't long before ISP are hired to help investigate the robberies by Chuck Morrow chairman of the re-insurers who represent all the insurance companies responsible for all the jewellers that where hit, Chuck offers Jules and ISP a double option contract if they can't recover the jewels they can still receive a bonus if they bring the perpetrators you Justice ISP style, this is the type of contract Jules Townsend loves. This soon take another twist for ISP as a series of attacks hit the ISP offices in Hong Kong and Germany resulting in the deaths of some of ISP employees Martha Compton who is also Chuck Morrows sister in law plus a failed attempt on Jacks wife May Ling Calder ensuring now it's become personal. |
As the team start to put the pieces together on who's behind the robberies and attacks on ISP they begin to start ruffling feathers with deadly consciences that leads ISP across the globe tracking drug dealers Amhed Fadi& Manuel Estrada who have joined together to make a global drug cartel big enough to earn serious cash and a crazy terrorists henchman of Fadi's Rikku Duval an former SAS soldier who has an old score to settle with Jules Townsend. The book leads to a brilliant climax that is as unexpected as most of the book.
Seamus Gallacher is one of Britain's best authors of this genre in years, his ability to captivate readers is a gift that makes each turn of the page a roller coaster ride if emotions. The Jack Calder series just gets better and better that could just become the new spy franchise that would rival Flemings Bond or Ludlum's Bourne series in my opinion As the team start to put the pieces together on who's behind the robberies and attacks on ISP they begin to start ruffling feathers with deadly consciences that leads ISP across the globe tracking drug dealers Amhed Fadi& Manuel Estrada who have joined together to make a global drug cartel big enough to earn serious cash and a crazy terrorists henchman of Fadi's Rikku Duval an former SAS soldier who has an old score to settle with Jules Townsend.
