We’ve all dreamed about winning the lottery of winning big in some way, well imagine if everyday you have a large amount of cash deposited in your bank what would you do and how would you spend it?
Johnny Davis is a 25 year old loser who still lives at home with his parents, he just found out his Christian girlfriend Ashley has cheated on him which considering she’s never gone past 1st base with him in four years leaves Johnny with only one choice ditch the cheating bitch. So he’s now an even bigger loser than before, Johnny is dragged to his local bank to open up a checking account having finally paid off his tuition fee’s to his parents Johnny is finally going to be able to save his wages from his crappy night job in the local plastics factory. Johnny opens his account and has his mum deposits $150 dollars to open the account. A few days later Johnny sets up his online banking and to his amazement his balance is $100,000 sceptical its an error he rings the bank to speak to Mark the bank clerk who set the account much to his astonishment Mark doesn’t work at the bank so he sets about making a series of small transactions then he plans to recheck his account the next day hoping the error clears of rectifies itself, the next day as planned he checks his account only to find that the exact amount he spent has been reaccredited to the account by an unknown source. Johnny is confused and turn to his best mate Dave for advice and in typical best mate form Dave convinces Johnny to have some fun so they both take some time off work and head off to Las Vegas to have the time of there lives but the truth where the money has come from is far worse than either of them imagined. While in Vegas Dave starts to suspect he’s being followed and his suspicions are realised when one night he is mugged only for his wallet to be returned the along with the thief’s severed hand so the pair get out of Vegas as quick as they can hoping that its just the work of a local vigilante and nothing more.
Once the duo return home it soon becomes apparent that there or more Johnny’s good fortune is continuing the pair start to plot there next move Cancun, the pair head off to the Mexican sunshine although they are only in Mexico a short time when things go bad really bad.
Spending Spree in short tale of what if but has a sinister "not everything is as it seems" or "if it’s too good to be true it probably is" undertone.
