Jet (Russell Blake)
This is the first book I have read by Russell Blake and if the rest are like this it certainly won’t be the last I read. I liked the look of this book from the cover, I know the old cliché “never judge a book by its
cover” but that’s exactly what I did, it’s not my fault it’s just HUMAN NATURE.
The book see’s one of Mossad’s most lethal operative codenamed JET to her colleagues who after many years of being a hunter for the agency she decides that she needs out of this dangerous life once and for all so along with the only other person she trusts she’s fakes her own death and burying that identity forever. But the past doesn't give up on its secrets easily.
When her new life on a tranquil island is shattered by a brutal attack, Jet must seek out the one person who knows that she’s still alive and try to figure out who and why someone wants her dead and how they knew she was still alive, the story twists and turns like a
high speed roller coaster as JET discovers the truth.
I have always been sceptical of stories with a female protagonist but this has certainly changed my sexist and ancient views on female lead roles and if you’re a fan of the Lisbeth Salander series, SALT, and the Bourne trilogy you will find yourself being carried along at break neck speeds to a dramatic conclusion although this is not a one off story it is merely the start of a 5 book series.
I plan to read more of the series over the next few months, so keep returning for more reviews in the series.
