Ethan Justice - Origins
John smith awakes one morning with a very bad hangover but his problems don't end there they are only just beginning.
In the bed next to him is Savannah a top class escort who wants her money the problem for John is he thought his best mate Mark had squared the hooker for him and he doesn't have £1000. After Savannah has informed John that her employers will give him 48hrs to find the money or they will break his legs if he thinks his day can't get much worse, John goes to confront Mark but finds him brutally murdered in his flat and as John is trying to get his head around the situation to strange men arrive at Marks place and detain John but as the men lead John into the crowded London Underground system John managed to create a diversion allowing himself to flee the 2 men.
Back at Johns flat he receives an unexpected visitor Savannah, when he explains his 49hrs wasn't up yet she proceeds to explain to John about her troubles reluctantly John agrees to help her forgetting his own troubles briefly but as John sets about helping Savannah his own troubles surface,
Mark was more than just a high flying banker, he had an invention that someone is prepared to kill for and someone is Gregory Fisher an ex SAS solider who will stop at nothing to get hold of Mark's invention.
As the pair is chased by Fisher they team up with 2 mysterious Earthguard agents that want to dispose of the weapon before Fisher can inflict death and destruction on anyone or so John and Savannah thinks.
This book is a real page turner that at times is very graphic, but also funny. The story flits between characters so you get a real sense of what there thinking as opposed to learning about the characters from a narrative perspective.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this book by I soon found myself completely engrossed which is full credit to Simon Jenner and the way he tells this story,
Will I read anymore of Simon Jenner's books? HELL YES, I can't wait to see what’s in store next.
