SOFT TARGET by Conrad Jones
Conrad Jones thriller SOFT TARGET is a chilling fictional story based around the UK's
terrorist task force that
takes the reader inside the hearts and minds of a violent terrorist cell. Based
around the Terrorist Task Force on the hunt for a vicious terror cell
that is hell bent on bringing the west to its knees by attacking famous tourist
spots to create panic and devastation around the world. The story is a roller
coaster ride taking the readers to locations across America and the UK. The story follows the lead agent John Tankersley
(Tank) and his team of agents as they hunt for an Islamic leader by the name of
Yasser Ahmed but as the task force are running out of clues to Ahmed's location
and the threat of a very imminent attack the task force find help in the most
unlikely source.
The story builds to a very nervy and nail biting conclusion that finishes the story but also leaves you wanting to read the other two books (so far) in the series soft target 2 & 3.
I have a small confession to make after reading many of the reviews on Amazon & Goodreads like I do with many of the books I read I wasn't totally convinced I was going to like this book but after reading a review stating it was set around Liverpool close to where I currently live I thought I'd give it ago as I can probably relate to some if not all the locations, so ignoring the not so complimentary reviews I got this book and as the saying goes "never judge a book by its cover" or in this case "never judge a book by its reviews" well not all the time anyway
The plot is actually really good but there is a small BUT, some of the editing on the kindle version does need addressing for example chapters don't start on new pages but that doesn't take away from the story so it shouldn't be punished too much.
So if you’re a fan of fast paced thrillers then I would say give SOFT TARGET by Conrad Jones a go you won't be disappointed.
