LEGO® Star wars
All men have seen the movies, owned the kenner action figures but now with all the renewed interest with recent cartoon series the clone wars every toy / game companies want a piece of the STAR WARS cake so for this review I am going to review a purchase I made for my 6 year old son with his easter money off his nan.
After spending hours researching what he can spend his purple note in the argos catalogue which is every child dreamed of the new argos catalogue coming out and marking what they wanted for christmas off the fat man in the white beard off we went to the shops. He finally plumped for some of them wonderful little blocks that stimulate your imagination but can wreck your head if ye loose that all important part to finish that super cool armoured truck you have spent best part of a week building, anyway I stray from the point, LEGO® STAR WARS was what he wanted and he choose the reasonably priced LEGO® Star Wars Genosian Cannon at £19.97
Off home we went for an afternoon of block building for me but to my surprise the little blocks proved no challenge to a seasoned LEGO®builder like myself, although I did have a sticky point trying to put the wings on the 2 Genosian figures a zombie and a warrior which are a little tricky as the
instructions for this part wasn't to clear.
As for the rest of the cannon it builds surprisingly easy and one positive point was sections went together with only the pieces in each numbered bag so there was no need to empty all the contents out then spend the next hour looking for the little round yellow light type piece.
Overall I know LEGO® is aimed at kids but I am very tempted to relive them galatic vs republic battles with the very impressive collection of LEGO® Star Wars toys available to buy.
On a cautionary note some of the toys like the Millennium Falcon and the imperial cruiser don't come cheap and I can imagine won't be as easy to so construct so deep pockets and plenty of patients is propably a MUST!
